Questioning Religion
I have found myself constantly questioning my own religion. I was brought up Methodist and went to church every Sunday and to youth group since I can remember. But classes such as Sociology and history of world religion have made me question my religion more than ever. I don't know if I'll ever answer all the questions about my religion and my beliefs. I think this is better than following the religion blind and without actual understanding but does it make me any less of a religious person? I still feel very religious and connected to Methodism. Obviously I'm never going to know all the answers but there are very serious contradictions between many of my thought about society and how it shapes people in contrast to what many Christians believe and hold true with the Bible supporting their thoughts. This also brings into question interpretation though. How can we possibly expect the Bible to cover modern issues, and if so, how can some Christians interpret it so literally?

I have also been raised as a Christian. I'm not exactly sure which part specifically because I have gone through a few different churches. But how different are all of them, honestly? They all seem to believe the same few basic principles though. I do hate how whoever is in charge of the church whether it be the minister or pastor or priest dictates everything. I do agree with you on how belief's have changed over the years after being introduced to certain classes that make me think more like astronomy or psychology. I like being able to think, whereas in certain churches they don't let you think openly. That might be one reason why my belief's have swayed more towards science because you can think whatever you want, and then prove it, or at least try to. If you can't then you know that it's not right, but if you can prove it then you can back it up. It's one advantage that science has over religion, the ability to keep up with technology, and change over time because of it. Religion tend to be too basic and in this day and age, exactly how are you to interpret it?
